This woodland project is managed by Geoffrey Brown, Kate Hadley and some wonderful friends and volunteers!
Within the Spinney Hollow boundaries we run a variety of activities that fall into the below three categories.
COURSES/WORKSHOPS and PARTIES: rural craft, woodwork, young peoples education and childrens parties
OUTDOOR ARTS EVENTS : Outdoor theatre, storytelling events and creative workshops
WOODLAND PRODUCE : Charcoal , furntiture, toys and trinkets
The wood is mixed broadleaf with Oak, Ash and Sweet Chestnut as standards with a dash of Larch, the under story comprises of Hazel, Holly and Hawthorn. Sighting of deer are common and badgers live in the neighbouring wood, Spinney Hollow homes many different species of wild flower such as the Common spotted orchid, Early Purple Orchid, bluebells, foxgloves, wood spurge, Primroses and many more! The rich bird life in the wood is a joy from dawn till dusk. With many sightings of Buzzards, Long Tailed Tits, Owls and Nut Hatches to name but a few.
The Space includes;
- Fire pit with hand made benches and seats (sheepskins and cushions included)
- Acoustic Stage with solar powered lights
- Outdoor Kitchen with BBQ, sink, dining table and food storage
- Compost Loo and rustic Wash room
- Workshop/small group space with small wood stove

Kate Hadley (Land Owner) - Project Manager and children's and young peoples activity facilitator.
Jamie Corry -
Freelance - Works with us on The Woodland ways programme, Childrens parties and Wild gourmet evenings Along with his wife Sheena Corry who also co project manages their company twistedfiresatarter bushcraft.
Craig Lockwood - Freelance - faciliatator for children's parties, master swords maker and part of our festival and events team. When not doing this he is an outdoor instructor for the Princes Trust - Fairbridge programme.
Imogen Tatem- Wyatt - Freelance - Our very own Spinney Hollow Seemstress and fantastic Front of house at festivals and events.
Jerome Cross - Freelance - sword maker extrodinare as part of our festival and events team. Jerome is also presently studying to be a montessori primary school teacher.
Jim Martin - the man who can and the best roadie in the world!
