The aim of this
course is for everyone to be learn about and get practical experience in how to
utilize all the parts of a deer carcass.
Everyone leaves
with fresh venison they have butchered themselves.
The course will
cover:
- Discussions on the issues surrounding deer numbers and reasons for culling
- Skinning and preparation of the hide for tanning
- Butchering Masterclass
- Cooking and preserving the meat – some of the best meat you will ever taste!
- Antlers for tools and toys
- Sinew for string
